Who makes this, and what to do if a solution looks wrong.

Why it exists

You can usually get the answer. Saying why — so your child can do the next one without you — is the hard part. That is the bit a marking scheme leaves out, and the bit missing from the worked answers at the back of an assessment book.

So every problem here is worked the way you would work it on paper: one step at a time, the reason beside each step, and the step that does the real work boxed. One thing to remember per problem, not a method to learn by heart.

How the solutions are made

I use AI to draw them, following the bar model method Singapore schools teach. That is why there is a drawn solution for every question here, and why more go up each week.

Every answer is then worked out a second time from scratch, without seeing the first, and the two have to agree. The answer is put back into the question and that check is drawn as the last step, so you can see it holds rather than take my word for it. What gets checked →

If a solution looks wrong

The checks catch arithmetic and geometry. They cannot tell you whether the method is the one your child’s school teaches, or whether the explanation is the clearest one. Those are judgements.
